Nizhny Novgorod State Medical University
Nizhny Novgorod State Medical University (NNSMA), now known as Privolzhsky Research Medical University, is a major center for training medical practitioners in one of the largest regions of the European part of Russia.
The medical faculty was opened in 1920 as a faculty of Nizhny Novgorod University. In 1994 it got a status of the State Medical Academy.
In 1992 the Faculty of Overseas Admissions was opened in NNSMA. Since the 1998-99 academic year the Academy has started training of international students in the English Medium.
The university closely collaborates with various global medical scientific research institutes, clinics and medical centers to help the students with the application skills of their gained theoretical knowledge in the practice and discover nuances of their future work from the very first years of study. The University is associated with many teaching hospitals distributed throughout the city, where the students learn many basic clinical skills.

Eligibility Criteria For Admission in Nizhny Novgorod State Medical University
- The student should have qualified class 10 and 12 from any recognised education board/institution
- The student must have scored at least 50% in their class-12 while studying Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or any equivalent subject)
- The student must be of 17 years of age
- The student should qualify the NEET-UG exam with the required marks.
- 50th percentile for the students of general/EWS category is 50th percentile.
- 45th percentile for the students belonging to PwD
- 40th percentile for the students belonging to the SC/ST/OBC category
- The students must possess a valid NEET Score card.
