All about NEET Eligibility for 2020
According to the official notifications released by the National Testing Agency (NTA), NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) 2020 will be the only entry-level examination conducted in the year 2020 for MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH (Ayurveda) courses. The official notification from the organization has put to rest all rumors regarding the possibility of NEET being a biannual exam from 2020 onwards.
In accordance with the released notices, NEET-2020 will be conducted on May 3, 2020; and the application process for the same will begin from December 2, 2019. The examination will be conducted in offline mode, requiring the applicants to answer the questions in a pen and paper format. The NTA has confirmed that the last date for submission of the application form will be December 31, 2019, and the admit card for the examination will be available from March 27, 2020.

NEET 2020: Eligibility
Students applying for NEET 2020 must meet the following criteria set for the examination –
- NEET eligibility for 2020 includes Indian Nations along with Non-Resident Indians, Persons with Indian Origin (PIO’s), and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI’s). Moreover, foreign nationals are also included in the eligibility criteria to apply for NEET 2020 (UG).
- When it comes to age limit, the applicant must have completed 17 years of age as on December 31, 2020. There is, however, no Upper age limit for the same.
- To sit for NEET 2020, the applicant must have completed Class 12 with science subjects – Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The NEET 2020 eligibility also demands a minimum of 50 percent (GEN category), 45 percent (PH category), and 40 percent (SC/ST/OBC categories). Students who are appearing/awaiting results of qualifying examinations can also apply.
